David Richard Gallery Presents “Op Infinitum: ‘The Responsive Eye’ Fifty Years After”, Featuring American Op Art in the 60s and the Spirit of MoMA’s Exhibition. Featured in “Op Infinitum” are nine artists who were not included in “The Responsive Eye” exhibition at MoMA in 1965, yet their artworks are every bit as visually stimulating and mentally challenging as those presented in that seminal exhibition. The exploration of perceptual art was vast in the 60s and in many ways, this presentation is a continuation of “The Responsive Eye”, expanding the roster and recognizing the far reach of “optical” abstraction.
