Psychedelic Art

Psychedelia and Psychedelic Art was influenced by surrealism, Dada, visual perception and Op Art along with other historical and cultural references such as Art Nouveau, Indian textiles and Pop Art. It defined the 1960s and Counter Culture movement and was ever present in rock culture on album covers, poster art and liquid light shows as the back drop for concerts on both the east and west coasts of the US at venues such as the Fillmore East, Avalon Ballroom and Winterland.
